Unity Tutorial 5
Unity Tutorial
For this weeks Unity tutorial, again I found it fun to do, this time we had to make the background we created in the last tutorial repeat, so using a new script to RepeatBackground we can have the back resetting when it hits a certain point. In the edit view we can see it skipping but in the player view, it runs smoothly without any notice to it repeating.
I also created a GameOver trigger to appear when you hit an obstacle, when the player jumps I was able to stop the game and for the GameOver message to appear when you hit the obstacle, also stopping them respawning when the game stops.
I really enjoy the small tasks Unity sets out for me each week and with practice over the last 5weeks with it, they've become slightly easier to understand and a bit quickwe to complete.
The only difficult part is when and where to spot the spelling mistake when you try to run the game but apart from that I've enjoyed working on the software! Im looking forward to giving it a go for my game and seeing how far I can get with the software.
